Download CLI tools from the Admin Portal

Overview​

AccelByte Multiplayer Servers (AMS) comes with two complementary CLI tools that enables you to:

  1. Upload dedicated server files and containerize them into dedicated server image for regional distribution.
  2. Test your dedicated server locally according to AMS standards to ensure the dedicated server will work on the AMS environment without having to upload a dedicated server build to test.

This article explains how to download the CLI tools.

Goals​

After you complete this guide, you should be able to download the latest version of AMS CLI and AMS Simulator.

Prerequisites​

Before you begin this guide, you should:

  • Have access to the AccelByte Gaming Services (AGS) Admin Portal and the namespace for your game.
  • Have created or linked an account to the namespace for your game.

Download the latest CLI tools from the Admin Portal​

After you have created or linked an AMS account with your namespace, you will have a few new options in your Admin Portal under AccelByte Multiplayer Servers. One of these is Download Resource. Click that option to navigate to the Download AMS Resource page.

You will see a list of CLI tools available to be downloaded for each platform. You will also see the version these CLI tools.

What if I want an older version of the tools?​

AMS keeps a repository of the historical tools that were released. Please contact your technical producer if you want to have one of the older tools.
